Dear everyone, this is my kitten. She has no name and sadly, according to vegans, she will never have the right to protest cetacean captivity. She is an obligate carnivore, hence, she must eat meat… Or die.
In fact, cetaceans themselves, according to vegans, have no right to protest their own captivity (if they could), seeing as they’re obligate carnivores. If we think even deeper about it, can a vegan person supporting cetaceans still be a vegan? I mean, it’s like fighting for an animal that’s killing and eating thousands of fish. How can you oppose eating fish, yet support an animal that will kill and eat so many? That would be hypocritical.
What, all that logic ridiculous enough?
I think vegetarianism is cool, and vegans, good for you. But this idea that only vegans have the right to care about animal welfare… Well, it’s the exact reason why people despise vegans. The ideals behind vegetarianism and vegan-ism are admirable, but not the self-righteous superiority that they think they’re entitled too.
The argument that only they have the moral right to fight against cetacean captivity, well, it’s complete derailment and it’s insulting. The sooner we shut that argument down, the better. Because not eating eggs has nothing to do with getting Lolita out of her fishbowl, and people yelling at other people for buttering their toast, well that’s never going to get Corky back home.
